Beijing Duty-free Shop for Diplomatic Missions was established in 1985.
It is the only shopping center approved by the State Council to operate and specialized in providing duty-free commodities for diplomatic personnel of diplomatic missions and international organizations. The aim of the Shop has been for these over 20 years to build a shopping paradise for the foreign diplomatic community in Beijing with satisfactory service.
The Shop sells a wide range of imported commodities covering wines and liquors, cigarettes and Havana cigars, refrigerators, stoves, small electrical appliances from Europe, world brand watches, cosmetics and perfumes, food, beers and many others.
Duty-free commodities sold in the shop are under the supervision of the Chinese Customs authorities for their procedures of import, transport, in and out of the storehouse, and sale. The Shop has been maintaining for years direct trade flow with over 10 countries and regions.
The Shop provides foreign diplomats and diplomatic missions with the services covering free delivery, gifts packaging; order and reservation of goods, filling out the Customs Declaration Form on behalf of the customer. Accepted in the Shop are: RMB cash, US dollar cash, checks as well as credit cards (Visa, JCB American Express, Diners Club International).
Since there aremore and more foreign consular missions established out of Beijing, this Shop has opened its branch shops in Shanghai, Liaoning and other cities. These branches provide duty-free goods for diplomatic personnel of foreign consulates and representative offices of international organizations, and government officials attending international conferences held in these cities.
